Triple Bottom Line Accounting

Triple Bottom Line Accounting is committed to respecting human rights in all our business operations and relationships, in accordance with:

1. UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights – Sets basic principles on how companies should respect human rights. 

2. The International Bill of Rights or the rights under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights A list of rights that all humans have and that cannot be taken away.

3. The International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work – A list of commitments related to the workplace.

Our Commitment

We commit to:

Respecting internationally recognised human rights, including:

  • The right to dignity and equal treatment, free from discrimination
  • Fair working conditions and fair remuneration
  • Freedom from forced labour, child labour, and modern slavery
  • Freedom of association and the right to voice concerns
  • The right to privacy and data protection

Ensuring fair employment practices by:

  • Paying at least Real Living Wage rates as certified by the Living Wage Foundation
  • Regularly benchmarking compensation against sector and regional standards
  • Providing meaningful benefits beyond statutory minimums
  • Maintaining open dialogue with our team on workplace matters

Conducting human rights due diligence by identifying and addressing actual and potential human rights impacts in our operations and value chain and taking action to prevent and mitigate adverse impacts. (See purchasing policy and privacy notice.) Clients sign Terms of Business including section 19.2 – a client commitment to respect human rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Providing access to remedy through clear processes for raising human rights concerns and cooperating in remediation where we have caused or contributed to adverse impacts. As explained in our internal Respect at Work Policy and Whistle blowing procedure and policy in Employee Handbook, and externally via our client complaints procedure, which include non-retaliation protections.

Governance & Transparency

Our Chief Executive Officer has oversight responsibility for human rights matters. This commitment applies to all our employees, contractors, suppliers, partners, and business relationships. We will report publicly on our human rights due diligence annually and review this commitment each year.
