Peter Ellington: Director

I set up Triple Bottom Line Accounting (TBLA) in 2009 following a long career in FTSE100 companies. I work mainly with our larger clients. I also develop new aspects of our business. As we grow I am helping the team to adapt to progressive ways of working. I aspire to be the leader, mentor, and coach that enables the team at TBLA to build a transformative accountancy practice.

Outside the office, you’ll find me teaching in the Norwich Business School on the MBA programme, Entrepreneurship, and Taxation. I graduated in 2021 from the Institute of Education, UCL as a Doctor in Education: Accounting Education. When I’m not working or teaching, I’m outdoors hiking or sailing.

I joined TBLA in 2014, after graduating from the Norwich Business School. I became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2019. Specialising in new business start-ups, taxation and small enterprise, I have been able to help many clients make their dreams of running their business a reality. I help established companies with strategic financial and tax advice to achieve their goals.

Outside the office, you’ll find me sitting behind my drum kit for bands and orchestras or clocking up the miles with local cycling clubs.

John Tindall: Advisory Manager

John Tindell

I joined TBLA in early 2022 with almost two decade’s experience as chartered accountant. My career has seen me managing top ten and independent accountancy practices. I principally work with SMEs and family run businesses and enjoy the challenges, success stories and positive results my input provides. I am also a fluent Spanish speaker having worked and lived for several years in Latin America.

Outside the office, I will be found spending time with my son and wife, normally in the great outdoors. I also enjoy dancing to Latino rhythms and when there is time experiencing and exploring different cultures, cuisines and landscapes.

Fran Ellington: Business Development Director

I joined TBLA in 2019. My roles include HR, ESG impact services, and marketing. In 2020 I developed the TBLA Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) impact service. As part of the process, I have carried out an impact analysis of the TBLA social and governance profile and a whole company carbon calculation with accompanying target setting, carbon reduction action plan and impact narrative. In 2022 I was invited to join the board of the Norwich Business Climate Leaders hoping to accelerate the transition to Net Zero.

Outside the office, you will find me hiking, gardening or foraging for ingredients for recipes, home herbal remedies or homemade skincare products.

I joined TBLA in 2020 with a thirty plus year career in accountancy. My role at TBLA involves the compiling of statutory accounts, individual and corporate tax returns along with VAT, payroll and bookkeeping tasks. I especially enjoy the interaction with clients and day to day problem-solving.

Outside the office, I can be found rustling up a meal in 15 minutes, completing YouTube fitness workouts (kettlebells a favourite) and enjoying a nice glass of red, not necessarily all at the same time.

Lucy Johnston: Accounts Assistant

I joined TBLA in July 2021. I am AAT qualified and have enjoyed a varied career in and around accounts. My role at TBLA involves various accounting tasks such as payroll, VAT returns, Statutory Accounts, and onboarding. I was very drawn to TBLA by its ethos and core values (caring, professional, and progressive) and look forward to developing my skills further to support the team and clients.

Outside the office, I enjoy getting out in the fresh air as much as I can via running, swimming, biking, or walking and have met some of my closest friends through local clubs and activities.

I joined TBLA in August 2019 taking on responsibility for company accounts, VAT returns, and payroll. I’m currently studying on the Level 7 apprenticeship scheme aiming to qualify under the ICAEW.

I joined TBLA in May 2021 on the Kickstart scheme, after gaining a distinction in Performing Arts, Level 3 Extended Diploma, at City College Norwich. I was immediately attracted to the TBLA company ethos – it’s the perfect place to work if you’re someone who cares about our planet and society. TBLA has a really encouraging attitude towards learning and qualifications and is currently supporting me through the AAT qualifications.

Outside the office, I love to write, usually just for myself, as a way to relax and express my thoughts; short stories, poetry and songs. I also play guitar.

Sonny Millington-Flack: Trainee Accountant

Sonny Millington Flack

I joined TBLA in October 2021 as a part-time trainee bookkeeper. I was attracted to the company because of its environmental ethos. Within two months, I was offered a full-time position and was enrolled with the Apprenticeship Scheme. I am working towards the AAT Level 3 Professional Diploma in Accounting. I work in the Advisory Department at TBLA, undertaking bookkeeping duties for clients using cloud accounting software.

Outside the office, I enjoy playing football and other outdoor activities. Other than that you’ll find me watching films or spending time with family and friends.
