Meet the team
Training and research are key to our work. We keep up to date with the latest developments in finance, accounting, taxation and compliance. For complex tax problems/opportunities we work with partners that ensure our advice is the best.
Peter Ellington: Director, Founder and CEO
I set up Triple Bottom Line Accounting (TBLA) in 2009 following a long career in FTSE100 companies. I work mainly with our larger clients. I also develop new aspects of our business. As we grow I am helping the team to adapt to progressive ways of working. I aspire to be the leader, mentor, and coach that enables the team at TBLA to build a transformative accountancy practice.
Outside the office, I lead sustainability initiatives, ESG consulting, including recent work with the Norse Group and working on education projects to transform accounting education. I hold a 2021 Doctorate in Education from UCL’s Institute of Education, specialising in Accounting Education. When I am not researching aspects of business sustainability or education reform, I enjoy hiking, yoga, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Luke Hilditch: Operations Director
I joined TBLA in 2014, after graduating from the Norwich Business School. I became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2019. Specialising in new business start-ups, taxation and small enterprise, I have been able to help many clients make their dreams of running their business a reality. I help established companies with strategic financial and tax advice to achieve their goals.
Outside the office, you’ll find me sitting behind my drum kit for bands and orchestras or clocking up the miles with local cycling clubs.
Fran Ellington: HR and Sustainability Director
I joined TBLA in 2019. My roles include HR, sustainability consulting and teaching, carbon literacy training and marketing. In 2020, I developed the TBLA Environmental and Social Impact Service. As part of the process, I have conducted an analysis of the TBLA social and governance profile and a whole company carbon calculation with accompanying target setting, carbon reduction action plan and impact narrative. In 2023, I successfully oversaw the TBLA application for B Corp certification.
Outside the office, you will find me hiking, gardening or foraging for ingredients for recipes, home herbal remedies or homemade skincare products.
Tatiana Blana: Client Experience and Marketing Director
I joined TBLA in 2019. I am a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Finance and Banking and a master’s degree in accounting. I have found my purpose working for TBLA, where I have been able to draw on my extensive knowledge and experience to provide clients with
financial guidance and support. In 2024 I was awarded the ACCA Sustainability Certificate and promoted to Director.
Outside the office, alongside my professional pursuits, I am interested in human behaviour, mental health, and nutrition. A holistic wellness approach is essential for personal and professional success. I strive to incorporate this philosophy into my work.
Richard Newell: Finance Director
I joined TBLA in 2023, bringing my financial experience in various sectors, including Healthcare, Media, Manufacturing, Waste Management and Recycling, and more recently, in multi-disciplinary Estate Agencies. I specialise in management accounting, forecasting, and advising. At TBLA, I am becoming a sustainability accountant through my greenhouse gas accounting and net zero advisory involvement.
I am a fellow member of the AAT and hold an ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business.
Outside the office, I love getting out in the great outdoors, walking, and enjoying the North Norfolk coast; I am also a keen listener of audiobooks.
Claire Atkinson: Management Accountant
I joined TBLA in 2023 as a CIMA Qualified Management Accountant. Over the years, I have gained experience in different industries, spending the last seven years working in the charity sector. I aim to utilise my knowledge and skills to contribute to Triple Bottom Line Accounting while learning new skills in the practice sector.
Outside the office, I enjoy live music and eating out; however, with two small children, you are more likely to find me at a soft play centre or taking my dog for long walks!
Richard Ellis: Accounts Manager
I joined TBLA in 2023, having spent many years as a qualified Chartered Accountant working both in practice and in industry. Alongside the traditional compliance and tax work, I have undertaken many special accountancy projects such as business combinations. At TBLA, I oversee compliance work and R & D tax credits.
Outside the office, I used to run a lot, and I completed the first-ever London marathon and a New York marathon. Nowadays, you will typically find me watching a crime series, reading books or more leisurely pursuits such as chess, gaming or, on a good day, sudoku.
Lisa Gardner: Payroll Manager
I joined TBLA in 2023, bringing my experience managing payrolls within large organisations. My role at TBLA is running and supporting payroll for our clients; it allows me to use the skills gained as part of an in-house payroll team and improve systems and processes applicable to an accountancy practice.
Outside the office, I’m a great lover of sports (unfortunately not blessed with the skills to play most sports), so you will generally find me watching a game of rugby or football. I also love listening to music and enjoy going to concerts.
Leah Malpas: Accounts Assistant
I began my career as a trainee accounts assistant in September 2015 and a year later began studying for my AAT qualifications which I completed in January 2019. I joined TBLA in August 2019 taking on responsibility for company accounts, VAT returns, and payroll. I’m currently studying on the Level 7 apprenticeship scheme aiming to qualify under the ICAEW.
Outside the office, I will either be found in the kitchen, baking and testing out new recipes, on the sofa reading or spending time with family.
Sonny Millington-Flack: Accounts Assistant
I joined TBLA in October 2021 as a part-time trainee bookkeeper. I was attracted to the company because of its environmental ethos. Within two months, I was offered a full-time position and was enrolled with the Apprenticeship Scheme. I am working towards the AAT Level 3 Professional Diploma in Accounting. I work in the Advisory Department at TBLA, undertaking bookkeeping duties for clients using cloud accounting software.
Outside the office, I enjoy playing football and other outdoor activities. Other than that you’ll find me watching films or spending time with family and friends.
Callum Woods: Trainee Accountant
I joined TBLA in 2024 as a trainee accountant. I was enrolled in the apprenticeship scheme, studying towards the AAT level 3 professional diploma in accounting. I was initially attracted to the company’s values and working with clients aiming to be more sustainable. I undertake bookkeeping duties for clients using cloud accounting software and some payroll and admin work.
Outside the office, you will find me relaxing by playing guitar, producing music or going to the gym.
Rhianna Ellington: Customer Relationship Manager and Credit Control
I joined TBLA part-time in 2022 after a career in creative higher education and the fashion industry. After many years of working in a sector that is neither ethical nor sustainable, I chose to work for Triple Bottom Line Accounting because of its environmental and social ethos. My role at TBLA involves various tasks such as onboarding new clients, ad hoc design and marketing, credit control and bookkeeping. In 2024 I was awarded a certificate in Cambridge University Institute for Sustainability (CSIL)award in Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creative.
Outside the office, you will find me working on my creative practice as a textile designer or spending time on the North Norfolk coast.
Eleanor Jones: Office Administrator
I joined TBLA in 2024 to support the team. I bring experience using FreeAgent, the bookkeeping software most clients use, to my job. Otherwise, I enjoy the variety of my role; no two days are the same. My mission is to support the team so that they can concentrate on what they do best.
Outside the office, I love spending time with my family, reading, fishing, and walking my dog in the countryside.
